Presentations
You can choose how you want your story presented. Any of these stories can be shipped to you as a bound booklet, framed, or just plain looseleaf. All methods of presentation make use of reclaimed, recovered, and upcycled materials - as well as new but eco-friendly materials purchased from independent vendors - whenever possible.
Framed
I'll print your story on 100% cotton paper
and framed in a reclaimed 8" by 10" frame. Most frames are
natural wood, while some are repainted in cheerful colors with
reclaimed house paint. Since they've already begun their long and
healthy lives, they may have minor blemishes. On the back of the
frame, I attach a certificate detailing your input to the story with
photo corners. The paper itself is from from Crane&Co, a
family-run company in New England. (Read about Crane and the environment.) I save any paper trimmings to recycle into paper for handbound stories.
Purchase a framed story on Storenvy or on etsy.
Handbound
I'll print your story on 100%
cotton paper and handbind it using a
Japanese stab binding. I handmake the paper for the covers
using
reclaimed paper, so the covers may vary in appearance and texture.
Your handbound book is about 8.5" by 5.5", and contains a
title
page, an introductory page detailing your input to the story, the story
itself, and an "about Looseleaf" page. The waxed linen thread
used to bind your book comes from an independent art supply store a
short drive away from my home.

Just the Basics
I'll print your story on 8.5" by 11" 100% cotton paper and tuck it in an envelope to send to you.
Purchase a looseleaf story on Storenvy or on etsy.
A Note About Shipping
Whenever possible, I ship Looseleaf Stories in sturdy, reclaimed boxes using reused packing material (usually bubble wrap). I encourage you to reuse or recycle your box and to save the bubble wrap to reuse, too!
