Do you have a question that's not answered here? Ask me.
If you arrived at this site directly, I'd recommend buying through looseleaf.storenvy.com. Storenvy gives me more options for how to lay out my online shop, and I believe looseleaf.storenvy.com is easier to navigate than my etsy site.
If you found this site via etsy, please make your purchases through etsy. Etsy is a fantastic site with a wonderful community, and they have every right to the commissions they earn on each item sold through looseleafstories.etsy.com.
Of course, if we're already acquainted, I'm happy to take commissions and payment as a real live human being! Just ask me for details.
Usually, I'll put your story in the mail within 5-10 business days. However, timing depends on a variety of factors. If you need your Looseleaf Story by a specific date, please email me before ordering, so that I can confirm I'll be able to get your story to you on time.
Your five phrases can be anything from a word or two to a whole
sentence, and they can be simple or flowery, whatever works for you.
The phrases, of course, will influence the direction of the story, so
you can take that into consideration if you like.
If the story will be a gift, I think it's neat to put in something that
has a special meaning to the giftee, or to both of you. For
example: family sayings, a line from a favorite movie/book/play,
nicknames, or something the giftee said that you've always remembered.
You can check out a sample five phrases story here. The five phrases that inspired the story are in the lefthand sidebar. It might help to see how they got worked in.
The main thing to remember is that there are no right or wrong phrases. It's my
job to make the phrases work in a story. I do reserve the right
not to work with certain phrases, but mainly I'm just looking forward
to seeing what you pick!
In an effort to reduce waste (and to keep Looseleaf Stories affordable), I use frames that have already begun their long and healthy lives. Because of this, it's rare that any two frames are exactly alike, though most of the ones I have on hand are wood with a natural finish. While I avoid frames that are truly damaged, some frames have minor blemishes. I see this as a mark of how many stories they must have to tell!
Sort of: Looseleaf stories are about fictional characters, but I'm very happy to use your name for one of those characters.
If you'd like to choose the name(s) of the character(s), you have two
choices: You can order a Five Phrases Story and include names in your
phrases, or you can order a Pop Quiz Story. The option to name your
characters is included in the Pop Quiz form.
Each piece is the result of the
alchemy between your input and my storytelling. Part of the magic of
these items is the element of the unknown when you order, coupled with
the sense of discovery when you read a story written for your eyes.
Since all items are made to order especially for you, I do not accept
exchanges or returns of Looseleaf Handcrafted Stories. That being said,
I hope anyone ordering from Looseleaf will find themselves happier for
it. If you are truly unhappy with your story, please contact me and
I'll endeavor to remedy any sense of dissatisfaction.
